Tall Oil Pitch is a viscous, fusible residue obtained from the distillation of crude tall oil. It is a high-volume by-product of kraft sulfate pulp production.
Tall Oil Pitch finds wide application as a fuel, in food-grade bio-additives, road construction, waterproofing materials, rubber products, and other industrial sectors.

Applications of Tall Oil Pitch:

• Paper sizing: For bonding cardboard and sack paper;
• Rubber compounds: As a tackifier — dissolved in mineral oils to enhance adhesion;
• Rosin substitute: In the production of kreolin (wood tar disinfectant);
• Asphalt modification: As an anionic plasticizing and emulsifying additive to viscous petroleum road bitumens or bitumen feedstock;
• Fuel: As a sulfur-free solid fuel.

Construction materials:

• Aerating agent in ceramsite production;
• Air-entraining additive in foam concrete;
• Raw material for phytosterol extraction for pharmaceutical use.

Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture
